On your iPhone. Mäuse has no user accounts and no cloud database. Before you switch devices, export a backup in Settings → Backup & Restore.
Both turn speech into drafts you review before saving. Cloud AI (OpenAI) is recommended: it understands several expenses and corrections in one go, and sends audio to OpenAI. Local AI (Apple) is free and keeps everything on your iPhone, one expense at a time.
Local AI is free. Cloud AI uses your own OpenAI API key, and OpenAI may charge about $1–2 per 100 dictated expenses. Mäuse gets no part of that.
An iPhone with iOS 17 or later. No Mäuse account. Manual tracking works offline, and Voice Mode is optional.
